What is biology?

to me, biology is the study of all things that live or have lived, in the effort to better the lives and future lives of those things. Biology class is important for educating our youth about how living things work, so that they can better understand themselves and the things around us.

Reflection

During this semester, we did a large block of learning about human systems, then segwayed into a project about the human system. Prior to our project on a human system, we studied how the human body works, and the systems that enable our bodies to preform normal functions.
Once we began the actual project, we were each assigned a section of the human systems. We were asked to create a functional website that detailed all of the aspects of our system in an engaging way. We were assigned small sections that connected our data to the community, and gathered information from a primary source.
I was assigned the role of connecting our project to the community of our town, the united states, or the world at large. My responsibility during the project was to host a ski event that raises awareness about the nervous system.
During our project, I was most proud of my concept of a rail jame to raise awareness.
I would like to hold our own venue in a better area that advertizes our school better.
One thing I could do to improve the quality of my work is to plan better for the rail jam competition.
I found relevance to skiing and the possible injuries that can occur.
I would like to take away an interest for all of the different aspects of the nervous system this semester.
